Josep Maria Pou<\/strong> portrays Roald Dahl, the eccentric internationally renowned writer, author of hits like Matilda, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and The Witches, whose controversial public statements stirred the media and tarnished his reputation with unpredictable consequences.

Directed by Josep Maria Mestres<\/strong> and inspired by true events, Mark Rosenblatt<\/strong>\u2019s play paints a multifaceted portrait of a terribly charismatic author, and insightfully \u2013 and often humorously \u2013 explores the difference between reasoned opinion and the dangers of rhetoric shaped by prejudice.

Summer of 1983. The famous English writer Roald Dahl is proofreading his latest book, soon to go to print, but the uproar caused by a recently published antisemitic article refuses to die down. Over the course of a single afternoon at his home, faced with an unexpectedly combative interlocutor, Dahl is forced to choose between issuing a public apology or risking his fame and reputation.
