Summer of 1983. The famous English writer Roald Dahl<\/strong> is reviewing the proofs of his latest book, which is about to go to print, but the scandal caused by an anti-Semitic article he recently published shows no signs of subsiding. Over the course of a single afternoon at his home, faced with an unexpectedly confrontational interlocutor, Dahl is forced to choose between apologizing publicly or putting his fame and reputation at risk.

Josep Maria Pou<\/strong> portrays Roald Dahl<\/strong>, the eccentric and internationally renowned writer, author of hits such as Matilda, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory<\/em> and The Witches<\/em>, who saw how some of his controversial statements set the press ablaze, damaging his reputation and leading to unforeseeable consequences.

Directed by Josep Maria Mestres<\/strong> and inspired by real events, Mark Rosenblatt'<\/strong>s play offers a multifaceted portrait of a terribly charismatic writer and explores, with sharpness not devoid of humor, the difference between reasoned opinion and the dangers of rhetoric driven by prejudice.<\/p>\r\n
