Yesterday, Monday January 19, at its headquarters on\u00a0\u00c0vila\u00a0Street, Focus marked its 40th anniversary with a public event<\/a> that reviewed the group\u2019s trajectory and officially presented\u00a0Genesis<\/strong>, the company\u2019s transformation project for the coming years.<\/p>\n

The ceremony was attended by institutional representatives, including the President of the Government of Catalonia, Salvador Illa, and the Mayor of Barcelona, Jaume\u00a0Collboni, as well as\u00a0numerous\u00a0figures from the cultural sector. The event was hosted by Daniel Mart\u00ednez de Obreg\u00f3n, President of\u00a0Grup\u00a0Focus; Isabel Vidal, Managing Director; and Cesar Mart\u00ednez, Director of Arts and Content.<\/p>\n

As part of the anniversary, Focus reaffirmed the founding values of the project,\u00a0established\u00a0in 1986 as a cultural company rooted in artistic vocation and guided by continuity,\u00a0independence\u00a0and social responsibility. The group also outlined its journey through key activity and business figures,\u00a0comprising\u00a018 companies and hundreds of productions and services linked to the performing arts and audiovisual fields.<\/p>\n

The main highlight was the launch of\u00a0Genesis<\/strong>, a comprehensive renovation plan for the headquarters involving an investment of \u20ac11 million and an estimated 20-month construction period. The project will double the building\u2019s surface area to 6,000 m\u00b2, transforming it into a new cultural facility. It will include a 500-seat theatre equipped with\u00a0state-of-the-art\u00a0stage technology, as well as a higher school of performing arts and stage crafts with capacity for more than 600 students, structured around artistic, technical and management areas. Focus also presented the architectural firm collaborating on the project and unveiled a scale model of the future building, with a view to its opening in\u00a02028.<\/p>\n
