Cirque du Soleil has premiered in Gijón (under the iconic Big Top located on the Explanada Avenida Albert Einstein) its show KURIOS – Cabinet of Curiosities, the company’s 35th production. A tribute to imagination and curiosity, the show arrives in our country for the first time and has chosen the Asturian city to begin its Spanish tour. KURIOS – Cabinet of Curiosities will end its run in Gijón on August 17 and will then visit Seville (from January 17 to March 8, 2026, at Charco de la Pava) and Bilbao (from April 8 to May 24, 2026, at the Ansio Exhibition Centre).
In an alternate yet familiar past, KURIOS ventures into the mechanical lab of a Scientist convinced that there exists a hidden and invisible world—a place where the wildest ideas and grandest dreams await. Once the Scientist manages to unlock the door to this world of wonders, time comes to a complete stop, and a cast of otherworldly characters invades his cabinet of curiosities, bringing his spontaneous creations to life one by one. As the visible becomes invisible and perspectives shift, KURIOS bursts into a celebration of the power of imagination.
