On Monday, February 9, Daniel Martínez de Obregón was awarded the Gold Medal for Cultural Merit, Barcelona’s highest cultural distinction, granted primarily to artists, creators, cultural managers and institutions in recognition of the quality of their work and their contribution to promoting culture in the city.
At a ceremony held at the City Hall’s Saló de Cent, Barcelona’s Mayor Jaume Collboni presented the award to the President of Grup Focus, praising his career and unwavering dedication to advancing the performing arts and strengthening Barcelona’s position as a European cultural capital. A public tribute to a figure inseparable from the world of live performance and to his steadfast support for cultural thought and human progress.
