After the success of La presència, Sixto Paz Produccions returns to the stage with a new comedy with thriller elements. Written by Yago Alonso (also co-author of La presència) and Sílvia Navarro Perramon, La promesa is a satire about a materialistic and self-satisfied society where opulence is considered personal and professional success. It follows a group of friends celebrating a 1990s-themed party; everyone is having fun , until the host announces that she has poisoned the wine. Is it a macabre joke? Is it true? If so, why has she done it?
Marc Rodríguez, Mercè Martínez, Carla Rovira, Eduard Lloveras and Eduard Buch star in the production, which has just premiered at Teatre Borràs and will run well into the summer. The stage direction is by Pau Roca.
