The gardens of Barcelona’s Palau Robert hosted the Barcelonina i Barceloní de l’Any 2026 awards ceremony, an event organized by El Periódico and Prensa Ibérica, with a bespoke event design and production created especially for the occasion.
This year’s awards recognized the achievements of Sandra Bestraten, the newly appointed dean of the Col·legi d’Arquitectes de Catalunya, and Esteve Camps, executive president of the Fundació Sagrada Família, for their outstanding contribution to the development and international profile of the city of Barcelona.
The ceremony brought together leading figures from the social, economic, cultural, and sporting sectors, as well as representatives of Prensa Ibérica, in an evening that highlighted the commitment and work of two individuals whose careers are closely linked to the present and future of the Catalan capital
