Cirque du Soleil will once again captivate Barcelona audiences with the arrival of KURIOS: Cabinet of Curiosities, one of its most internationally acclaimed productions. The show will be presented under the iconic Big Top in the Cultural District of L’Hospitalet de Llobregat from 3 September, where it will run until 18 October.
Having dazzled more than six million spectators in over forty cities around the world, KURIOS comes to Barcelona inviting audiences to immerse themselves in an extraordinary universe where imagination knows no bounds. Originally premiered in Montreal in 2014, the production combines Cirque du Soleil’s signature breathtaking acrobatics with visual poetry, humour and a distinctive steampunk-inspired aesthetic.
The show transports audiences into the laboratory of a visionary scientist who believes that a hidden world full of wonders exists. When he succeeds in opening its doors, time comes to a standstill and an unusual collection of extraordinary characters springs to life before his eyes. The result is a celebration of curiosity, creativity and the transformative power of imagination.
