FOCUS – Concert by the Escolania de Montserrat at Park Güell

02/07/2026

Focus was responsible for the comprehensive technical production and the development of all communication materials for the extraordinary concert by the Escolania de Montserrat, held at Plaça de la Natura in Park Güell. The event was promoted by Barcelona Serveis Municipals (BSM) as part of the commemorative activities marking the centenary of Antoni Gaudí’s death.

Open to the public, the concert brought together nearly 1,500 attendees, including local residents, representatives of the city’s social and economic sectors, and cultural institutions, becoming one of the summer’s major musical events in one of Barcelona’s most iconic heritage sites.

The artistic programme highlighted the legacy of the Escolania de Montserrat, one of Europe’s oldest and most prestigious boys’ choirs. The concert was divided into two parts: the first focused on sacred repertoire linked to the Montserrat tradition, while the second featured a suite of sardanas for choir and cobla, underscoring the Escolania’s role as an ambassador of Catalan culture.

This performance, which also served as the closing concert of the Escolania’s musical season, transformed Park Güell into a meeting point for music, heritage and cultural identity, reinforcing its vocation as an open public space dedicated to fostering culture and community engagement.
