The nominations for the IX Premis Teatre Barcelona have been announced, and many of the productions presented in Focus theatres during the current season have been recognised in this shortlist.
The Premis Teatre Barcelona, which are awarded through a public vote, will be presented on Monday, 28 September, from 8:00 pm during a gala ceremony to be held at Paral·lel 62 in Barcelona. Voting will remain open until 13 September.
Among the nominations are Gegant (Teatre Romea) for Best Show; Germans de sang for Best Musical Production (Teatre Condal); Marta Buchaca for Best Playwright for Una bufetada al temps (La Villarroel); Mariona Castillo and Roc Bernadí for Best Musical Performance for Germans de sang (Teatre Condal); and Guillem Balart for Best Supporting Actor for Grand Canyon (La Villarroel), among others.
