COOKIE INFORMATION
Due to the entry into force of the corresponding amendment to the “Law on Information Society Services” (LSSICE), established by Royal Decree 13/2012, it is mandatory to obtain the user’s explicit consent for all websites that use non-essential cookies before the user browses them.
WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies and other similar technologies, such as local shared objects, flash cookies or pixels, are tools used by web servers to store and retrieve information about their visitors, as well as to ensure the proper functioning of the website.
By using these devices, the web server is able to remember certain data relating to the user, such as their preferences for viewing pages on that server, username and password, products of interest, etc.
COOKIES COVERED BY THE REGULATIONS AND EXEMPT COOKIES
According to the EU directive, cookies that require the user’s informed consent are analytics cookies and advertising and affiliate cookies. Technical cookies and those strictly necessary for the operation of the website or for the provision of services expressly requested by the user are exempt.
WHAT TYPES OF COOKIES ARE THERE?
There are five main categories of cookies:
- Analytics cookies: collect information about how the website is used.
- Social cookies: those required for external social networks.
- Affiliate cookies: allow tracking of visits coming from other websites with which the website has an affiliate agreement (affiliate companies).
- Advertising and behavioural cookies: collect information about the user’s preferences and personal choices (retargeting).
- Technical and functional cookies: strictly necessary for the use of the website and for providing the contracted service.
COOKIES USED ON OUR WEBSITE
- List of cookies and their functions, for example:
- PHPSESSID: technical and strictly necessary cookie that contains the session identifier. It is deleted when the browser is closed.
- _lang: technical and strictly necessary cookie that stores the session language. It is deleted when the browser is closed.
- ac_cookies: technical and strictly necessary cookie that stores whether the installation of cookies has been accepted. It expires one year after the last update.
- _ga: Google Analytics Universal cookie that enables the tracking of unique visits. The first time a user accesses the website via a browser, this cookie will be installed. When the user returns using the same browser, the cookie will recognise them as the same user. Only if the user changes browser will they be considered a different user. It expires two years after the last update.
- _gat: cookie associated with Google Analytics Universal. It is used to limit request rates, thereby limiting data collection on high-traffic sites. It expires after 10 minutes.
- _utma: Google Analytics cookie that records the date of the user’s first and last visit to the website. It expires two years after the last update.
- _utmb: Google Analytics cookie that records the time of arrival on the website. It expires 30 minutes after the last update.
- _utmc: Google Analytics cookie used for interoperability with the urchin.js tracking code. It is deleted when the browser is closed.
- _utmt: Google Analytics cookie used to process the type of request made by the user. It expires at the end of the session.
- _utmv: Google Analytics cookie used to segment demographic data. It expires at the end of the session.
- _utmz: Google Analytics cookie that stores the traffic source or campaign to explain how the user reached the website. It expires six months after the last update.
WITHDRAWAL OF CONSENT TO INSTALL COOKIES. HOW TO DELETE COOKIES FROM YOUR BROWSER
Chrome
- Select the Tools icon.
- Click on Settings.
- Click on Show advanced settings.
- In the “Privacy” section, click on Content settings.
- Delete cookies: click on All cookies and site data…
- Do not allow sites to store cookies.
- Click on Clear browsing data (clear cache).
- Close and restart the browser.

Internet Explorer. Version 11
- Select Tools | Internet Options.
- Click on the General tab.
- In the “Browsing history” section, click on Delete browsing history on exit.
- Select Delete files.
- Select Delete cookies.
- Click Delete.
- Click OK.
- Close and restart the browser.

- Select Firefox | History | Clear Recent History.
- Next to “Details”, click the drop-down arrow.
- Select the following checkboxes: Cookies, Cache, Active logins.
- Using the “Time range to clear” drop-down menu, select Everything.
- Click Clear Now.
- Close and restart the browser.
You can accept or reject cookies individually in Firefox Preferences, under the History section available at Tools > Options > Privacy.
