After its success both at its premiere at the International Classical Theatre Festival of Mérida and during its run in Madrid, Memorias de Adriano begins an extensive tour across Spain that will conclude in March 2026 at Teatre Romea in Barcelona.
The production —winner of up to seven awards at the 55th edition of the San Javier International Theatre Festival, including Best Show, Best Actor for Lluís Homar and Best Direction for Beatriz Jaén— sold out every performance during its run at Teatro Marquina in Madrid, where it was on stage from September 19 to October 10.
Memorias de Adriano is a stage production based on the homonymous novel by Marguerite Yourcenar, with dramaturgy by Brenda Escobedo from Julio Cortázar’s translation. Joining Homar —who gives voice to the solitude of Emperor Hadrian— are Clara Mingueza, Álvar Nahuel, Marc Domingo, Xavi Casan and Ricard Boyle.
