L’auca del Senyor Pera, written and starring Joan Pera and directed by Daniel Anglès, arrives at Teatre Condal from Thursday, June 4 for a limited run.
The production, a one-man show that traces Joan Pera’s life and artistic career, promises to make audiences laugh and move them in equal measure, reaffirming the actor as one of the most beloved and emblematic figures of Catalan comic theatre.
Through an auca built with illustrated scenes and rhyming couplets, the actor shares memories, anecdotes and experiences gathered over a lifetime devoted to the stage. The show blends humour and emotion, inviting the audience to travel through different episodes of his biography with the unmistakable stamp of his talent.
