This summer, the Catalan capital will become the stage for an unprecedented cultural event: the world premiere of Antarctica Experience, the first major production by GIGA (Grand Immersive Gallery), an international company specializing in immersive entertainment. This unique immersive experience will open in July 2025 at the Cúpula Arenas, the new and spectacular immersive venue that GIGA will inaugurate in Barcelona.
Antarctica Experience is a one-of-a-kind multisensory adventure that invites visitors to discover the White Continent in a breathtaking way—without the risks or discomforts of the journey, but with all the emotion, wonder, and learning. The exhibition takes the audience through the most fascinating moments an explorer experiences when facing the vastness of Antarctica, journeying across its marine, land, and underwater landscapes, and getting close to the extraordinary wildlife that inhabits this extreme environment.
For this production, GIGA has partnered with Luc Jacquet—filmmaker, scientist, and Oscar-winner for the documentary March of the Penguins—and his production company Icebreaker Studios, to create a visual and emotional narrative that transforms the way audiences can explore Antarctica, combining Jacquet’s artistic vision with the most advanced immersive technology.
