Focus Madrid and Focus Esdeveniments are collaborating with Cirque du Soleil on this initiative as part of the marketing campaign for OVO, which will arrive in Madrid in 2026.
Cirque du Soleil returns to Madrid, but this time with a visual installation that reflects the company’s commitment to urban art in Spain. From June 6 to 16, 2025, artists Zësar Bahamonte (Seville), Amaia Arrazola (Vitoria-Gasteiz), Lidia Cao (Ordes), Marina Capdevila (Tarragona), and Erik Air (Tenerife) will intervene nine shipping containers located at the Explanada del Puente del Rey, in the Moncloa – Aravaca district, to showcase their latest works inspired by the Canadian company and its iconic shows.
This disruptive proposal uses these containers as an artistic framework, allowing Madrid locals and visitors to enjoy a unique reinterpretation of the circus universe envisioned by these five creators. At the same time, the initiative highlights Cirque du Soleil’s close relationship with Spain and its contribution to national art and artists.
This open-air exhibition, which will remain on display until June 27, 2025, will give the public the chance to discover the latest trends in Spanish urban art and to revisit, through this artistic proposal, magical moments that Cirque du Soleil has created throughout its four decades of history.
