This coming March 22, Vània, the contemporary reimagining of Chekhov’s classic starring Joel Joan and directed by Nelson Valente, will come to the end of its run at Teatre Romea.
Vània is a monologue adaptation of Simon Stephens’ text, which has already enjoyed major international success, including a West End production in London starring Andrew Scott, awarded the WhatsOnStage Award for Best Revival and the Olivier Award for Best Revival. In Barcelona, the version starring Joel Joan has received critical acclaim, with particular praise for the actor’s remarkable performance, described as memorable.
Vània, a production by Arriska and Teatre Romea, will embark on an extensive tour across many Catalan cities following its run in Barcelona, continuing throughout the spring.
