On Friday, September 5, Grup Focus unveiled its new 2025-26 theatre season. The event took place at Teatre Goya and, as is tradition, brought together many of the most prominent figures from the world of theatre and culture, distinguished personalities, institutional representatives, media professionals and, of course, the true protagonists of the season: the artists, creators, and artistic teams who will bring life to the programming of the group’s four theatres.
This year, the guiding theme of the season is Begin the journey again, evoking the theatrical experience as a path — a journey that connects origin with destination and a human experience that begins long before the house lights dim and continues well beyond leaving the theatre.
The new season remains faithful to the group’s hallmark of excellence, with a program that includes, among other productions, two musicals in Catalan set to shake up Barcelona’s theatre scene: L’amor venia amb taxi, the latest show by La Cubana, and a new staging of Germans de sang.
The event also served to look back on the past season, during which Grup Focus welcomed 517,000 spectators and achieved 11 million euros in box office revenue, presenting 80 productions and 1,488 performances across its theatres: Romea, La Villarroel, Condal, and Goya.
