The series Terra Alta, an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Javier Cercas, winner of the 2019 Premio Planeta, will premiere this coming Thursday, December 4, on Movistar Plus+.
Terra Alta, coproduced by Focus Studios and Secuoya, is a six-episode crime thriller whose starting point is the murder of two prominent businessmen in Catalonia, and in which a police officer with a hidden past takes charge of investigating these crimes.
Terra Alta features a carefully selected artistic cast. The ensemble is led by Miguel Bernardeau, who plays Melchor Marín. He is joined by Iván Massagué, Marta Etura, Bea Segura, Goya Toledo, Pere Ponce, Pablo Derqui, Manel Barceló, Jordi Martínez, and a special collaboration by Francesc Orella, among others.
The series is created by Eligio R. Montero (Buñuel en el laberinto de las tortugas), directed by Eduard Cortés (Dime quién soy), and written by Eligio R. Montero and Carmen López-Area (La chica invisible).
