Tickets now on sale for Memorias de Adriano, the intimate account of a man in dialogue with his own history

This co-production by Teatre Romea and the Mérida International Classical Theatre Festival will be staged at Teatro Marquina from September 19 to October 12.

The work by Marguerite Yourcenar, one of the most renowned and acclaimed historical texts of the 20th century, comes to the stage under the direction of Beatriz Jaén and starring Lluís Homar.

Tickets to see Memorias de Adriano at Teatro Marquina in Madrid, from September 19 to October 12, 2025, are now on sale. This co-production by Teatre Romea and the Mérida International Classical Theatre Festival will arrive in Madrid after its premiere from August 6 to 10, as part of the summer theatre festival.

The play by Marguerite Yourcenar, one of the most celebrated historical texts of the 20th century, comes to life on stage starring Lluís Homar and directed by Beatriz Jaén. Memorias de Adriano is a production based on the novel of the same name by Marguerite Yourcenar, with a stage adaptation by Brenda Escobedo based on the translation by Julio Cortázar. Joining Homar—who gives voice to the solitude of Emperor Hadrian—are Clara Mingueza, Álvar Nahuel, Marc Domingo, Xavi Casan, and Ricard Boyle.
